About Us
Nearly 100 years ago, Paul H. Young earned a reputation for crafting custom bamboo fly rods, while his brother-in-law, Al Hilde, was establishing his own renown at the Taxidermy shop on Grand River Avenue in Detroit.
After relocating the business to Clarkston in 1971, Bob Taylor became part of the Hilde Taxidermy team, furthering the legacy of quality wildlife art that Hilde was known for.
In 2019, Bob handed over leadership to his son Dan, whose passion and skill have propelled the company to new heights in taxidermy innovation.
Now, Hilde Wildlife Studio is globally recognized as an African Safari Specialist. The studio's artists enable sportsmen to immortalize the splendor of nature and God's creatures, maintaining the fragile equilibrium of the wild through the preservation of their hard-won trophies.
Their award-winning craftsmanship is for the enjoyment of all and garners widespread appreciation.
