Over 90 years ago, while Paul H. Young was building a reputation for custom-made bamboo Fly-rods, his brother-in-law, Al Hilde was forming a reputation of his own at the Taxidermy shop on Grand River Avenue in Detroit. 

             After the business was moved to Clarkston in 1971, Bob Taylor joined the staff at Hilde Taxidermy and has continued to enhance the quality of wildlife art Hilde is famous for over the years.

In 2019, Bob turned the reins over to his son Dan. His enthusiasm and expertise have helped move the company to the forefront of taxidermy technology.

Today, Hilde Wildlife Studio is known worldwide as an African Safari Specialist. Their artists’ efforts make it possible for the sportsman to share with those who come after, the beauty of God’s creations and the delicate balance of nature, through the preservation of trophies they’ve so earnestly obtained.

Such award-winning work is done for the benefit of all and is appreciated by many.
